Your legal form, your figures and the year in which you act all shape what applies to you. A general text cannot cover that. Ask us before you decide.
Who this website is written for
The information is aimed at self-employed people and companies in Belgium. Rules from other countries only come up where we say so.
If you work across the border, a conversation is the only reliable route.
Figures, deadlines and examples
Amounts, rates and deadlines in our articles apply at the time of writing. Tax rules change often, sometimes with retroactive effect. Check that a figure still holds before you count on it.
Liability
We build this website with care and keep it up to date. Even so, a text can be out of date or incomplete.
As far as the law allows, FK Boekhouding is not liable for decisions you take on the basis of this website, nor for damage caused by a fault or an interruption of the site. We do not exclude liability for intent, gross fault or harm to life or health.
We aim to keep the site reachable, but we cannot guarantee it. Maintenance, a fault at our hosting provider or a problem with your connection can take it offline for a while.
Texts, images and logo
The texts, the design and the logo on this website belong to FK Boekhouding. You may not reuse them without our written permission. Some of the illustrative photos are the work of third parties and we use them under licence.
Quoting is fine, as long as you name the source and link to the page.
Links to other websites
Some pages point to third-party websites, for instance those of the government. We have no control over what is on those sites and carry no responsibility for it.
Contact form and client portal
A message through the contact form, a question through the chat on the home page or a booking through the client portal is a request, not an agreement. Work starts once we agree on it together.
Do not send confidential documents or passwords through the form. It is meant for a first question, not for your file.
Languages of this website
This website appears in four languages: Dutch, English, French and Turkish. If a translation differs from the Dutch text, the Dutch version prevails.
Applicable law
Belgian law applies to this website and to this disclaimer. If you are a business, disputes belong before the courts of Ghent. If you are a consumer, the court the law gives you stays competent.
