What a cookie is

A cookie is a small file a website stores in your browser, for example to recognise you on a later visit or to remember a preference.

Cookies from the site itself are called first-party cookies. Cookies set by another party because its content sits on the page are called third-party cookies.

This website sets none

FK Boekhouding puts no cookies of its own on your device. We use no local storage in your browser either, and there is no analytics tool, advertising pixel or tracking script on the site.

That is why you get no cookie banner here: there is nothing to allow or refuse.

The one exception: the map on the contact page

The contact page shows where we are with a map from Google Maps. That map loads only after you click the Load map button. Until then, nothing goes to Google.

As soon as it loads, Google processes your IP address and may set cookies to make the map work. Those cookies are Google's, not ours, and fall under Google's privacy policy.

What you can do yourself

You decide what your browser allows. Every common browser lets you block third-party cookies or refuse and delete all cookies.

A private window does the same for one visit: whatever a third party sets there is gone once you close the window.

What you miss

Block third-party cookies and the rest of this website works as usual. Only the map on the contact page may stay blank. That panel shows our address and a button to load the map, and the same address stands in the contact card next to it.

Other external sources

The images and the fonts on this website are served from our own server. Apart from the map on the contact page, no page loads anything from a third party.

Check it yourself

You do not have to take our word for it. Open your browser's developer tools and look under Storage or Application: on every page of this site the cookie list stays empty, and on the contact page too as long as you do not load the map.

Your IP address is not a cookie

To deliver this page, our hosting provider processes your IP address technically. That is not a cookie: nothing is stored in your browser. We keep no access logs and no visitor statistics, as the privacy policy sets out.

Changes to this policy

If we do set a cookie later, for instance to count visits, we update this page first and ask your consent before the cookie is placed.
